About this path
This path is the on-ramp to everything else on the CyberA4U Arena. You will meet the core ideas every security practitioner relies on — how data is encoded and hidden, how files really work on disk, and how a web request travels from your browser to a server — by solving short, guided rooms. Each room explains the concept, then lets you prove it hands-on.
Who should start here
Complete beginners, students, and career-changers who are curious about cybersecurity and want a gentle, practical start before committing to an offensive or defensive track.
Prerequisites
Comfort using a computer and a web browser. Everything else — the terminal, encoding, basic scripting — is introduced as you go. No programming background required.
What you will be able to do
- Read and convert between common encodings (hex, base64, XOR)
- Understand what really happens when a file is "deleted"
- Recognise how information can be hidden inside ordinary media
- Follow a web request and spot where trust is misplaced
- Decide whether the offensive or defensive track suits you next
